Colorado’s job picture continues to brighten, with numbers for October showing an unemployment rate of 6.8 percent, a rate approaching the low point in 2009, when it registered at 6.7 percent.

According to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the largest gains were in professional and business services, manufacturing, education and health services, leisure and hospitality.

The largest declines for the month were in construction, transportation, utilities, trade and information.

Nationwide, the unemployment rate increased to 7.3 percent.
